Welcome to It’s A Green World! We like to be the world’s most authentic “CBD security filter” by personally trying a variety of different products to make sure we’re giving our customers what we say we are.
If you didn’t know, CBD products are currently unregulated by the FDA, which means it’s up to the company as to whether or not they put what they advertise into their products. This can be good and bad – some companies add more CBD then they advertise on their labels, and some add less. Some, unfortunately, add little or no healing benefits to their products, and some let nasty chemicals float in. That’s why IAGW exists – we try them so that we know for a fact whether or not these products are relieving pain or not.

CBD Isolate vs. Full-Spectrum
When we buy CBD products we’re usually buying one of two kinds – CBD isolate and cbd full spectrum. Isolate products only contain CBD or hemp oil, and full-spectrum products contain the full healing benefits of the hemp plant – CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC – all of these and more depending on who’s selling it. Some companies go above and beyond with their products and add all kinds of ingredients like these two.
The Pure Hemp Botanicals oil featured in this post is CBD isolate. Usually you want to buy full-spectrum products, but not to worry, some of the best products we’ve tried were CBD isolate, so we’re excited for what’s to come!
How Do I Choose Between Good and Bad Products?
When buying CBD products there are three things to look for:
- Lab results. If you’re about to purchase from a company that doesn’t provide lab results for their products, stop what you’re doing! Some CBD companies aren’t very honest with their labeling, and even though they say they’re putting 750mg of CBD into their bottles, they may not be actually doing so. The companies who have their batches tested by third-party labs are more transparent than those who don’t, and this is the main way of distinguishing a good company from a corrupt company.
- Positive reviews. No one likes seeing bad reviews on a product, especially if it’s supposed to heal you. Most CBD companies have amazing reviews on their products, but watch out for the ones who don’t, especially if they’ve been in business for a while – they might be doing some shady stuff.
- Someone who’s tried it and written a post about it. At the end of the day, the only way you’ll know for sure is if you try it yourself. Thankfully there are plenty of people who try and review CBD products, and those who give honest opinions on what you’re about to buy should influence your decision, especially if their review is negative.
With all of that said, let’s get to the actual review!

PHB was kind enough to send me a full-sized 750mg bottle of their CBD oil, as you can see below.
I tried it shortly after opening the package, and as always, I recorded the results in real time:
8:00am: Took 50ml (half a tincture). Oil tastes good. It isn’t flavored but it doesn’t taste like regular hemp oil. Props!
8:25am: I took 25ml (quarter tincture) because I haven’t felt any effects yet.
8:51am Still don’t feel any effects.
9:22am: I won’t be promoting these people in a positive manner.
Yeah, you see that right – nothing happened! The previous day I tried Mission Farms’ CBD oil (link to post) and I recieved effects instantly. The longest I’ve had to wait for CBD oil to kick in was 30-40 minutes, so when I wasn’t feeling anything in 80 minutes I knew it was a bunk bottle.
I researched their prices right before writing this section of the review and I was shocked to see it so low – CBDPure sells 600mg for $54.99, and CBDPure is one of the leaders in quality as I’ve personally experienced.
Conclusion
Overall: 1/10
Well, the oil didn’t work for me. I’m going to mention that it’s possible their products aren’t completely bunk, and that I just received a bad bottle. However, I won’t decount my personal experience; I give these guys a 1 because I sort of dig their design. I don’t recommend buying from them, try some other companies instead!
By the way, there’s one more product review coming up, and then after that I’ll publish a post that I’ve been working on for a while. I’m excited to release it and I hope you’ll enjoy it!
